A monopolistically competitive firm is inefficient because the firm?
a) A monoplolistically competitive firm has a sloped demand curve that is tangent to ATC. This means it will never be at the minimum point. This inefficiency is the price of the differences in the product. Having choices is good but it is also inefficient.
