Need help coming up with a VERY unique event for my story!?

"The Invasion of Heaven" sound cool. The video game Dragon Age gets into something like this, with insatiable mages invading heaven and ruining it because they are full of sin. You can get into some philosophical **** about the hubris of man and never being satisfied and constantly seeking new frontiers and so forth.
