Ideas for a fictional Prairie land filled with "forbidden" magic?

Hmm, I think they would rely on agriculture and you could have a type of rock that would be a big part of your story. And your characters could either be the power of the land or they could have some sort of ability? Their skill could be shooting as in with arrows. =D Hope this helps and your story turns out great
