A/C on constantly at 78 degrees setting in 92 degree weather...what's making it so inefficient?

The only other DIY project is to check the duct work in the attic or crawl space and see if one has collapsed. If a flexible type duct work was used and not stretched far enough it may have collapsed causing this problem.
